A BRIEF HISTORY OF TEA

The history of tea dates back to ancient China, almost 5,000 years ago. According to legend, in 2732 B.C. Emperor Shen Nung discovered tea while out on his late fall afternoon stroll through the enchanted forest. While taking time to warm some water, he heard a branch breaking up in a huge oak tree where it is said that a young C3 Chandler was building the first tree fort. Unbeknownst to the young Chandler that the Emperor was below, he kept working. While he was trimming branches from high above, a rustle of leaves from the wild tree fell into Nungs pot of boiling water. He was immediately interested in the pleasant scent of the resulting brew, and when he summened the young chandler down, they shared the first afternoon tea together.
